Andy Clarke

The celebrated voice of global boxing coverage

Andy started his career at talkSPORT back in 2000 and within a matter of months was learning the ropes as a reporter. He spent 10 years at the station, becoming the station’s lead football reporter, covering the Premier League, Champions League, all major domestic and European finals, Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup in Germany where he was talkSPORT’s England correspondent.

After a decade at talkSPORT it was time for a move into TV. Andy cut his teeth as a pitchside reporter on Channel 5’s European football coverage before moving into commentary, working for Sky and the Premier League on EPL matches, covering La Liga for Sky and the EFL for Pitch.

In 2012 Andy began commenting on boxing for Sky, Channel 5, BBC, BT Sport, DAZN and talkSPORT. Since 2016 he’s been an integral part of the Sky Boxing team and is now their lead commentator. Outside of the UK he features regularly on ESPN+ and has also been a studio analyst on ESPN pay-per-view in the US.

Andy has demonstrated his versatility by covering a variety of sports at the London Olympics in 2012 and Rio in 2016 for the Olympic Broadcast Service.

From UK stadium fights with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to the T-Mobile in Las Vegas for the epic conclusion to the Fury vs Wilder trilogy, to World amateur championships in Kazakhstan and Olympic boxing in Venezuela, Andy’s passion for boxing and wealth of broadcasting experience has seen him ringside in 25 countries. It has established him as one of the most highly respected and credible voices in the sport worldwide.
